Casting Call for The Gourmand & the Peasant

Have you dreamt of being on camera in a kitchen studio, lights, camera, action? Want to be part of the videos you see here on The Gourmand & the Peasant? How exciting!

We are currently casting home cooks looking to solve a cooking quandary, overcome a culinary fear or try a new ingredient or technique on camera with Chef Emily, cooking teacher extraordinaire.

Perhaps filleting a fish gives you nightmares. Maybe you’re wanting to talk to farmers at the greenmarket but don’t know how to get the conversation started. Maybe you’ve been dreaming of making bananas foster but fear setting the kitchen on fire.

Sound familiar? Here are the next steps to get personal guidance from the culinary teacher you know and love:

• Send a brief explanation of what you want to learn to do. Scared of breaking down a chicken? Worried your soufflé may fall? Perfect!

• If you have a video camera, webcam, iSight, iPhone, flip, etc., upload a video to youtube or vimeo and email us the link. No fancy editing or lighting required, just be audible and your best self.

No camera? That’s ok. Send a recent photo and a few paragraphs.

All submissions should be sent to:
media@thegourmandandthepeasant.com

DEADLINE: SUNDAY JUNE 26, 2011 11:59pm

We will review all submissions let you know if you’ve got a date with the Chef.

Cheers and we are looking forward to seeing you soon!
