Hooking Up with Heritage Radio Network

The amazing folks over at Heritage Radio Network have a really awesome thing going and they let me talk on their airwaves.

First of all, if you want to know where your food comes from, I highly recommend checking out Heritage Foods USA for all your protein needs. I’ve been to their facility and it is an amazing workshop of like-minded eaters who want every possible dollar spent to line the pockets of farmers who are keeping the tradition of real food production alive. I just bought a suckling pig to smoke whole and cannot wait til Goatober. Nom nom.

In addition to the online store, there’s also the radio, built inside an upcycled shipping container dropped in the backyard of Roberta’s Pizza in Bushwick – which, having been out of Brooklyn for some time, felt like a set on Portlandia. In a good way.

Bushlandiawick. Ha.

Anywho – here’s a piece where I talk about how I get to do what I do (and the long and twisted road to get here):

And, here’s what we are calling an “Audio Gift Bag” – 5 tips for grilling success:

And finally, here’s a link to the recipes I cooked for their fundraiser at Astor Center last week:

OK – now I need to shower, do the laundry, clean up the kitchen and run the dishwasher before my teething kid wakes up.
